SUPPORT US
Dedicated to inspiring young artists for America's future, National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts (NFAA) is a Miami-based, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1981 by businessmen and visionary Ted Arison, chairman emeritus of Carnival Cruise Lines, and his wife Lin. NFAA's mission is
to recognize outstanding young artists, provide educational enrichment and professional development assistance in their pursuit of the arts, and to raise the appreciation, support and awareness of the arts in America to ensure the nation's artistic future. NFAA's core program, youngARTS is open to high school seniors and other 17 and 18-year-old artists in the performing, literary and visual arts. Finalists share in over $600,000 in cash awards. At the request of The Commission on Presidential Scholars, the program serves as the exclusive nominating organization for students to also be named U.S. Presidential Scholars in the Arts. In 27 years,
NFAA has honored 16,000 young American artists chosen from more than 160,000 NFAA youngARTS registrants with
$6.4 million in cash awards and $80 million in college scholarship opportunities.
